I was dx with RH at the age of 7 and then developed chorea. From the age of 7 to 21 I received monthly bicillin injections. Im from American and saw many specialists. I received a lot of test to make sure my heart was okay but the main thing is to be treated with antibiotics for a lonng period of time

i had it since i was 3 now i'm 19 but i finish the treatment now i'm on ibouprofhin

I believe I had strep throat infection last week. It was untreated but now I am feeling better, just still some swollen neck nodes. Is it still too late to treat the strep bacteria to prevent eventually getting rheumatic from this bout of strep? Is it too late to be tested to confirm if it even was strep throat?? I'm really worried about getting rheumatic fever... I am 20, what is the likelihood?? Please, I can't find info on this anywhere... don't have insurance. :(

am on penicillen for life now anyways - and i take meds for arthritus and all different kinds off meds! I am no longer on tetrabenzine for the movement disorder - because the hospital says it is gone and is now my body micicing the movements!

You have to put treatment as soon as possible. one shot Benzathine penicillin every month for at least 5 years. if you don't then you will have heart failure which means you can end up dead.

i had rhumatic fever and SC when i was 12 - still on going - im now 19 ... No one knows why... me n mum want to go to America to see the specialsts there!
