I am 21 years old with a history of high cholesterol and tachycardia. My doctor put me on Fish Oil about 4 months ago. My question is: can you take vitamins with fish oil?

Jeff,What are you hearing about the omega3 (MOXXOR) extracted form New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels? A friend of mine is launching the product near the end of August 2008. Presumably much higher strength than any fish oil, and also has an anti-oxident. New, but coming soon. Any thoughts?

check outVEGETARIAN FISH OIL: MICROALGAE OIL, Life's Omega-3 Pearl. VEGETARIAN FISH OIL is the new best source of omega-3 DHA and EPA. The World's Richest DHA Source is better tolerated over fish oil, lowers triglycerides and raises HDLs better and is formulated better for kids and adults, since 90% of the omega-3s held by the body are DHA. Even better, Microalgae oil is the source where fish oil omega-3 comes from.

Jeff, this is great information. I heard that too much PUFAs in diet may be linked to cancer because- greater likelihood of free-radical generation from the double bonds. Also, have you read about the ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids? Apparently people who eat traditional mediterranean diet have less risk of chronic disease like CVD. They found that the ratio of u3:u6 was 1:4, but in the States ratio is something like 1:12. An ideal ratio would be 1:1. Any thoughts? Thanks for your posts!

Statin also depletes CoQ10; fish oil does not. I took close to 3000 mg of omega 3 daily for a few months to control the trigleride level. After the positive results, I have since been taking no less than 2500 mg of Omega 3 a day.

You might be interested in my you-tube video about the side effects of statins. It was created with the the help of Duane Graveline MD (aka Spacedoc). Its called "Statins --The Dark Side". Thanks for helping with awareness of this issue. Glyn

Jeff, I think you are wonderful in taking time to help others with your knowledge. I am a 45 year old male who's diet has gone to little nutrition. I used to be a health food nut. But being depressed for over a year it is tough to get back into the routine of caring. watching your video I can see the excitement in your face, adn voice, and it help to inspire me to make myself a list of foods I should be consuming. it's a start. Thanks again Jeff...stay healthy and keep the videos coming. :-)

Vitamin D baby. SPF is the devil. Check the SPF users and you'll see they don't have the levels the non SPF users have.It keeps the entire body working. Without it, it's like operating with your shields down and keeps you ill. |
