We should all be fully aware that retouching is a huge part of public imagery. Wouldn't you rather look at someone attractive rather an eyesore? Perfection is indeed overrated, but an attractive image grabs our attention. Congratulations to professional retouchers for doing their job.

maybe it's the standard for vain, brand-new car, gold's-gym-gold-digger types, but my imperfect girl is the most beautiful thing on this planet.

It shouldn't be banned, I mean if a girl wants to photoshop her pictures, why should we say no? It's their decision, they could say no photoshopping and that would be it. One thing I do think is that magazines etc. shouldn't actually DEMAND that their pictures be editted, they should just accept pictures, editted or not.

I think it should because all the people out there that look at the front covers of magazines and see what the models look like they feel kinda embarassed because they wanna look like them.

Man, women would be so much better off if they stopped focusing so much on what they looked like with all this fake stuff like so much makeup and Photoshop... It's not who they really are anyways. I just wish they'd focus on cultivating an interesting personality. That goes a long way. Artificial beauty does not. |
